Custom Email

description

I use the Language Editor to change the text as needed for the module.
I would like to have the ability to change the text of the Email Subject and Body.
I would like to add HTML to the body.

Thanks,
Greg

I should be able to accomodate that. Are you looking for a rich text box to edit the body, or would plain text one where you enter the HTML do?

A plain text box would work fine.
Thanks!

Greg - just looking at this further.

Subject - given you can change this in the laguage editor, why would you want to do this through module settings? This would remove the ability for language localisation since logically there would be only one value accessible, rather than one per language. Do you need to be able to customise per module instance, i.e. you need more than one module instance per portal?

Body - Similar situation. You can add HTML in the language editor. The only thing that may not work for you is that currently the module currently just add a comma seperated list of usernames to the end of the MailBody value in the resource file. Can you describe what effect/structure you are trying to achieve and I'll try to figure out how to do that without removing the localisation ability.

Using the language editor should work fine, but I did not see the text. I bet I realize the problem now. I never upgraded to the 02.01.01 version. I will do that tonight and give it a another try. I only need t cusomize per portal, not module instance. I think it is going to work fine.
Thanks!

If it works fine for you, post back here, and I can close the issue.

I was able to give it a try and only have one issue and you have alread mentioned it. I could use a placeholder {0} in the email body for the list of usernames instead of adding it at the end. I tested the email body using HTML and it works. I just need to add some text and closing HTML tags after the list of usernames.
Thanks

Ok, I can add support for the placeholder easily, I should be able to do that over the next few days and still support localisation.
